A senior experienced Data, Risk and Financial Services Architect who will define the high-level architecture and design that provides solutions to deliver great business outcomes and helps meet the longer-term strategy.

Be responsible for providing the platform vision, leadership, and direction in the planning and implementation of the goals, priorities, effective processes and technology that will underpin our market propositions.

Have a proven track record in the design, specification and delivery of cloud native enterprise data platform (PaaS) services and integration architectures in the financial services space.

Have extensive broad-based international business and information technology leadership experience in delivering software as a service in a real time transaction orientated environment.

Coming ideally with a deep technology background, strong domain expertise in the big data processing products area and significant hands-on software experience in a cloud-based platform environment at a senior / consultant level.

Be responsible to provide analysis of build options evaluating implementation alternatives (build/buy/rent) and to deliver end-to-end solution designs using the relevant core building blocks, as well as producing designs for value added features.

Develop the full strategy process for engineering (strategy, budgeting, goal setting, team building, mentoring, development, and execution) and make an impact on overall company planning.

Grow and manage a diverse team of engineers along with service provides, local partners and outsourced teams.

Design, implement and monitor all operations and key performance metrics/operational efficiency for the engineering operations, make everything in your organization measurable and transparent, so we can see clearly what is going well and what is not.

As our cloud platform architect, you’ll design, develop and oversee implementation of our data processing core product and peripheral applications in multiple private & public cloud environments. LenddoEFL’s complex client projects requires a high level of flexibility at service layers enabling the core to work with client data, local data and risk services, global business enriching services while continuous cost & capacity optimization is a must for the data core.

The candidate will join a development team as technical lead and Cloud Platform Architect.

Designing the cloud architecture layer of data platforms, integration and application layers in working closely with the data and development teams.

Creating proposals for various modernization or improvements initiatives.

Creating and maintain technical documentation.

Defining long term technology roadmap, assessing multiple PaaS options on AWS and MS Azure, defining a test and deployment strategy for them.

Defining and governing non-functional requirements.

Cloud governance: security and access control, security, reliability and failover, cost monitoring, performance and capacity monitoring.

Providing guidance for development teams regarding cloud architecture, including remote and client’s IT teams if required.

Assisting development teams with implementation or troubleshooting as required.

Identifying technical debt and creating strategies of addressing it.

Strong knowledge in following areas:

Cloud platform Expert/Senior (preferred AWS cloud, nice to have on MS Azure big data tools.)

DevOps practices and tools with Container Architects, Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools at On-Prem and AWS.

Strong interpersonal skills: Communication, negotiation, conflict management

Client management skills: Managing expectations, communicating good and bad news, challenging innovation/decisions, advising, influencing.

Knowledge of data platforms architectures and patterns: Modern data warehouse, Data Lakes, Data Pipelines, ETL/ELT

The candidate will work with top most experts in the data science vertical and assist them applying effective applications running on multiple clients.

Participate in requirements gathering, technical specification, and the design and development of complex operationalizing machine learning & data processing projects.

Contribute to architecture design, development of data or machine learning pipelines, and integration into enterprise systems.

Build and configure multi-tenant machine learning environments on-prem, cloud or hybrid.

Build, test and optimize Machine Learning models.

Interact with teams of engineers from multiple disciplines.

Bachelor or master's degree in computer science, natural sciences, mathematics, or equivalent qualification.

At least one year of professional experience in a similar position or as software developer

Experience in Python and ML.

Experience with at least one CI/CD tool, e.g. Jenkins, Github actions, or cloud equivalents.

Experience in application containerization and orchestration tools - Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud equivalents.

Experience with Pipeline Tools, e.g. Kubeflow, Airflow, or cloud equivalents.

Experience with Model Repositories, e.g. mlflow, modelDB, or cloud equivalents.

Experience with logging and monitoring, e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, or cloud equivalents.

Able to communicate and present internally and externally in a confident manner.

Experience with ML computing on cloud platforms - preferably Azure or AWS.

Experience with deployment automation, e.g. Helm, Ansible, Terraform is a plus.
